Plein Air
$1400 + anodizing charge
A gravel bike, ready for anything. Named after outdoor painting because I believe a big part of this style of riding is about observing the world creatively over the course of a few thousand hours of saddle time.
Where are they made?
Steel frames, prototypes, and all handlebars are made by me in Asheville, NC.
Titanium frames are made by expert titanium fabricators to my exact specifications in China.
Design Principles
Stability
A long wheelbase gives you confidence to ride faster over difficult terrain.
Durability
While the frames aren’t heavy, tubing thickness was chosen to help your bike last a lifetime.
Posture
The steep seat tube angle puts you in a position of strength and comfort.
Storage
Carrying supplies on your back sucks your energy. High quality Rockgeist frame bags carry everything you need.
Balance
Most bikes have an extreme rearward weight bias, Haile bikes restore balance. Helping you keep traction in difficult terrain.
Versatility
Sliding dropouts add the option of making your bike a single speed; for fun, or to get out of the woods.
